Community Support Groups
Creating a support system is essential to healing from abuse. Our program offers support groups for both women and children that meet once a week in a confidential location. Some of the group topics include education on the dynamics of domestic violence, self-esteem, assertiveness, goal-setting, and safety planning. To inquire about the time and location of our support group call 423-303-3515 for more information.
Court Advocates are available to accompany victims of domestic and sexual violence to court, assist them with filing for orders of protection, prepare them for court hearings, and provide referrals to the legal community. For more information, please call 423-303-3532.
All victims who contact the program receive crisis counseling either through the hotline, face to face sessions, or support groups. Crisis counseling is geared towards assisting clients with safety planning, goal-setting, help navigating the court system, and options that help them work towards a future that is free from abuse. To set up a counseling appointment, call 423-303-3515 for more information.
